Why body skin needs its own routine
Uneven-looking body tone comes from a mix of sun exposure, friction, hormonal change, shaving, and time — and it shows up in places a facial routine never touches. It also sits on thicker, tougher skin than the face, which is why a single product used occasionally rarely shifts how it looks. Three steps, each doing one job:
- Daily cleanse: the shower gel is the everyday step — no extra effort, no extra time
- Weekly exfoliate: the body scrub lifts surface buildup on rough-looking areas

Avoid broken skin, intimate areas, and freshly shaved skin. Wait 24 hours after shaving before exfoliating.
Your routine
Daily, every shower
- Cleanse: use the shower gel all over, let it sit 30–60 seconds before rinsing
- Target: use the kojic acid soap on specific areas — underarms, inner thighs, knees, elbows
- Moisturize: always follow on damp skin
2–3× weekly
- Scrub: massage the body scrub on wet skin in circular motions for 2–3 minutes
- Focus: spend extra time on rougher-looking areas
- Cleanse and moisturize: follow with the gel or soap, then moisturize immediately
Do not over-exfoliate. Two to three times a week is the intended rhythm; daily scrubbing is how body skin gets irritated.
What to expect
- Weeks 1–2: skin tends to feel softer and smoother; surface dullness often looks lifted first
- Weeks 3–4: some people begin to see the look of tone starting to even
- Weeks 6–8: for many, darker-looking areas continue to look more uniform

Results vary from person to person, and depend on skin type, routine, sun exposure, and how deep the discoloration sits.
Good to know
- Patch test first on the inner forearm for 24–48 hours, especially before use on delicate areas.
- Daily SPF on exposed skin matters here too — shoulders, chest, and the backs of arms are where sun undoes progress fastest.
- New to kojic acid? Start the soap 2–3 times per week and build up only as tolerated.
