Description
The Hooga Green Light Therapy lamp is a dual mode, touch controlled lamp that emits narrow band green light at 520 nanometers in order to soothe the brain and relieve migraines. The green light therapy lamp also has a soft, warm white light mode which is 3000K in temperature and makes for a fantastic all purpose light. The 5W light therapy lamp comes with a USB Type C power adapter and has a 10+ year LED life, so you won't need to worry about replacing this or changing the light bulbs on your bedside lamp any longer! Green light at specific wavelengths has been extensively studied at one of the world's leading universities. The studies show that regular light, made up of a full spectrum of colors such as red, yellow, green, blue, etc. actually generates large electrical signals in the eye and brain, which ends up causing pain and tension for people with light sensitivity. Conversely, the specific narrow band of green light emitted by the Hooga lamp (when on green mode) generates much smaller electrical signals in the eye and brain which does not cause pain for people with light sensitivity. When a migraine strikes, we recommend going into a dark room and turning on the Hooga lamp with the green mode on. Then, eliminate all other sources of light in the room, including light from outside, computer screens, cell phone screens, television screens, overhead lights, etc. Position the Hooga lamp in such a way that it is illuminating the room but you aren't looking directly at it. Spend at least 30 minutes in the soothing, green light to allow for enough time for your eyes and brain to adjust to the different wavelengths of light.
