Description
Assess those suffering foot ulcers with the McKesson monofilament test. This foot diagnostic program works to help determine if a foot is subject to developing diabetic foot ulcers, with the help of a monofilament foot screening device. During testing, the person must not look to see when and where the monofilament foot screen test is applied. When touched to the foot for roughly 2 seconds at a time, this test helps to detect a lack of protective sensation in any of the foots 10 testing sites. Depending on the results, the monofilament sensory test can help determine an appropriate course of action. The screening features a lightweight 10 gram filament which provides enough pressure for an accurate assessment. Each has a paper handle.
